In this video I'll be showing how I painted up one of the three large Accursed Cultists miniatures. I love the miniature (bar the wing, no idea why, but I di
Chaos cults lurk throughout every corner of the Imperium, drawn from its downtrodden masses and levied from fallen worlds. Cultists Mob is the new name for the Chaos Cultists that we know and love – these belligerent blasphemers are great for claiming objectives and taking gunfire instead of your more valuable Chaos Space Marines .
As with Genestealer Cults for Tyranids, I think that Chaos cults are the most interesting aspect of Chaos in 40k. Now I got to paint quite a lot of the new-ish plastic Chaos Cultists. The first such models since the very thin dudes with the pointy hats which were released at the very tail end of 2nd edition 40k. FW models notwithstanding. Not
Obv not all Genestealer Cultists would wear this, but they can't make models for every possible style of dress across the Imperium. Anyway, it'd be perfectly cromulent to use these bodies for Chaos Cultists, but I'd agree the heads aren't really suitable. Personally, I'd say the Cawdor gangers are the most Cultist-y looking models.
Since the limit is based off of number of units and not number of models, you can still get a pretty high cultist count by taking maxed squads of cultists and then minimum squads of core csm. You could also convert Goliath Gangers into just really beefed up cultists and run them as Chosen or whatever other csm core unit you want.
And I know most tournaments are wysiwyg so this poses a problem. Any help would be appreciated. The Dark Vengeance box set from 7th (I think) edition comes with cultists and options for those cultists like flamer stunner etc. GSC stunner is the easiest way. Outside of that, you’ll likely have to use eBay.
